Founded in 2025, Serve & Support K9 Academy is a dedicated service and therapy dog training organization committed to enriching lives through compassionate, science-based methods. We specialize in preparing dogs to excel in roles that matter. Whether supporting individuals with disabilities as service dogs or offering comfort and support in therapy settings. Our focus is on nurturing well-adjusted, confident companions and empowering their human partners by crafting reliable and life-enhancing trained dogs.
At S&S K9's, we firmly believe that any dog, regardless of breed, size, or background can thrive as a service or therapy dog, provided they are matched with the right tasks, temperament, and are supported through personalized training. We honor each dog as an individual learner, adapting every program to their unique temperament, motivation, and learning style, because true success comes from understanding what makes each dog shine.
Our training philosophy is firmly grounded in LIMA (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive). An ethically anchored, science-driven framework embraced by professional organizations like the APDT, IAABC, and CCPDT. This means we prioritize starting with positive reinforcement and humane strategies such as desensitization, counterconditioning, and reinforcement of alternative behaviors, reserving any correction or tools only as a thoughtful later resort. Every certified trainer on our team maintains high standards of education and skill through PennFoster Dog Obedience program, AKC Canine Collage, and more!
